If you want to grow your business you have to market to new people

August 2, 2018What Should Be on Your Food Truck?
What’s on your food truck is just as important as what’s inside. Your food truck design should make what delicious grub you’re serving as clear as possible. You want people to approach your food truck, not pass by it thinking it’s an ordinary van or some other business vehicle. Here’s what needs to be on your food truck.
The Difference with Food Trucks
Food trucks are not the same as normal business vehicles, as they serve more than one purpose. Vehicle wraps on business cars and food trucks act as a moving billboard as the car or truck drives to its destination. Unlike business vehicles though, marketing doesn’t stop when a food truck arrives.
This is important to keep in mind when considering your food truck vehicle wrap.
More than Average
The rule with all vehicle wraps is that you do not want too much information. You just want a potential customer to remember your company’s name in the time it takes for a vehicle to pass them by. With food trucks however, you’re advertising on the road and at a stop, meaning you can add more content to your truck. Just don’t go overboard.
Name
Your customers may have time to read all of the information on your truck while they wait for their food, but drivers on the road don’t. You still want to make sure that your company name is the clearest content on your food truck. You don’t want other content distracting potential customers from reading your company’s name.
With the internet, a name is all drivers really need to see.
Company Information
As long as the content doesn’t distract from your company’s name, food trucks can display information that would be useful for customers waiting in line. Examples include:
- Phone number
- Tagline
- Social Media
Vehicle wraps are made to last years. For food trucks that still decide to incorporate their menu into their vehicle wrap design, keep the golden rule in mind: don’t let it distract customers on the road from your logo.
